Sergio Rossi names Paul Kotrba as its interim CEO

Lanvin Group-owned Sergio Rossi has named Paul Kotrba as its CEO on an interim basis. The Italian luxury footwear and accessories brand said Kotrba replaced Riccardo Sciutto last month.

The new CEO is “a seasoned global retail executive with 25 years of consumer-focused brand-building experience”. He’s worked in various leadership positions within the LVMH, LCatterton and Lanvin Group operations.

He had been interim COO at Lanvin’s Wolford operation before moving to Sergio Rossi and in that previous role we’re told he “streamlined IT and operations, initiated a company-wide restructuring, and defined a roadmap to reach profitability this year”.

Before that he was CEO at premium Australian swimwear brand Seafolly. He also built his industry experience over 15 years at Donna Karan and DKNY in New York, running global sales and business development.

The Austrian national will now “lead Sergio Rossi’s global retail and wholesale expansion strategies as well as guiding e-commerce developments into new markets”.

The company said his task is also to “further strengthen the brand’s leadership position in Japan and support the fast-growing brand presence in Greater China”, while driving and enhancing “brand visibility and awareness with targeted special projects focused on omnichannel improvement and innovation”.
