Shipster gets fresh investment for expansion

Shipster — the UK shipping tech company that’s popular with fashion brands — has secured fresh investment from Fearless Adventures as it continues to expand. The funding amount is undisclosed.

The company integrates a retailer’s warehouse management system with any courier of choice while also “offering bespoke solutions if you use a different sales platform”.

Manchester-based Shipster, which counts athletic sports retailer AYBL, fashion brands Missy Empire, MissPap and Oh Polly, and intimates brand Lounge among its customers, said its software “shakes up the sector by making extremely bespoke shipping software much more accessible to growing online retailers”.

Shipster co-founder Hayley Cowburn told BusinessLive: “It’s time to take our biggest leap to grow the company, and in more than financial support. We want people who have 'done it before' and bring valuable experience and expertise to the table.”

Cowburn said of its latest backer: “The Fearless Adventures team are different; they feel like a true extension of the team with a genuine sense of excitement for our company’s future. It’s breathed some new life into our ambitions and motivated us further.”
