The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, is following up his February H&M campaign, as well as an artist collaboration with graffiti artist Futura 2000. The 2017 Starboy pop-ups are produced by Universal Music's Bravado, his record label's merchandise company.

According to the lookbook, which has been released on social media, the product includes his signature XO branding delivered in an urban punk aesthetic on tees, bomber jackets, sleeveless vests and hats. Patches and graphics show his journey of transitioning from an R&B artist to a mainstream pop star.

Five of the eight locations of the pop-up shops are across the US in major cities of LA, NY and Chicago. Los Angeles's 424 of Fairfax, New York's Patron of the New, and Chicago's RSVP Gallery will host the shops, as well as The Webster in Miami and Houston. There will also be three locations in his native Canada.

This is the second round of the Starboy pop-up shops. The first round happened in 2016 around the launch of his third album entitled "Starboy." He recently performed at Coachella and was photographed at the Met Gala with new girlfriend Selena Gomez, replacing his date from last year, Bella Hadid.

The Weeknd is a Puma brand ambassador and has teased his upcoming collaboration with Puma on his Instagram last month with the caption "Coming Soon." No official statement has been made about the release yet, but fans can expect more of his XO co-branded product when it does launch.

The Starboy pop-up shops are open Friday through Sunday of this weekend. The Weeknd is also on tour right now. He has a show in Houston on Saturday night which begs the question of whether he might make a surprise appearance at The Webster Starboy pop-up while he's there.
