Timberland: Mariano Alonso, new Vice President Sales, EMEA

Timberland didn’t let the suspense last very long. The brand, owned by VF group, has awarded the new position of head of franchise stores in Europe, the Middle East and Africa to Marco Messini, until now in charge of wholesale for the region. With Messini’s promotion, the company looked to Camper for a replacement. They found Mariano Alonso who will join Timberland’s wholesale and distribution teams for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Mariano Alonso, who will report to Timo Schmidt-Eisenhart, president EMEA, was formerly Camper’s general manager for the Northern, Central, Eastern European and Asia regions. Before joining the Spanish footwear brand, he worked at Nike from 1998 to 2007.
