Timberland to unveil first flagship store in Mexico

2016 will see the launch of Timberland’s first Mexican flagship store in Mexico City. 

The American outdoor retailer has unveiled plans to open a flagship unit at Antara shopping center, in the Mexican capital.

The store is expected to launch this year at the end of March or beginning of April. Additionally, a further store is understood to open in Guadalajara in the coming months.

Timberland, which is a member of VF Corporation alongside Vans and Kipling, arrived in Mexico last year with a shop in Guanajuato state.

The footwear and clothing brand reported a double-digit growth in the third quarter of 2015, with revenue up 21%. The brand’s American segment increased revenue by 40% in the period.
