Tranoï invites 200 menswear brands from 25th to 27th June

The Tranoï Paris trade show has changed its denomination for the latest edition, to include both men's collections and women's pre-collections, which will be showcased in two venues, at the Cité de la Mode et du Design and the Palais de la Bourse over the course of three days, from 25th to 27th June.



It is the opportunity for Tranoï to claim once again the role of major pioneering show for young, emerging designers, notably those talent-spotted at fashion festivals. Besides womenswear designers Amanda Svart, Yuhei Mukai and Clara Daguin, finalists at the Hyères Festival in France, the young menswear generation will be represented by German label Brachmann Menswear and by Latvian label Marenrol’s, both nominees for the International Woolmark Prize.

In the 'young talents' category, Tranoï will also shine a spotlight on two highly creative labels featured on the 2016 LVMH Prize's shortlist: Moto Guo from Malaysia and Soshi Otsuki from Japan.

In parallel with young designers, the show will also introduce its habitual selection of menswear collections, featuring among others Fabio Quaranta, Luca Larenza, Lardini, Maurizio Miri and Emilio Rinaldi from Italy, and Mayday, Mayday, Mayday and Ron Dorff from France. Among the showrooms, Massimo Bonini, Vald Agency and Other/Wise have announced their presence.

Tranoï's Women's Pre-Collections section is expected to include over one hundred brands, including the new collection by Turkish designer Gulcin Cengel, footwear brand Artselab, Brazilian unisex brand Beira and Nomen Noscio, based in Helsinki, Finland. Other brands that will showcase their collections, either men's or women's, are Natto Franco by French designer Noémie Aiko Sebayashi, or the Odeur du Suédois Peter Hollstrom label, which is replacing the logo with a fragrance infused in the clothes.

Other than ready-to-wear and a fragrance section, present at the trade show for the second time, Tranoï is also looking to boost its lifestyle offering, "in order to respond to the demand by many concept stores," which will now find a range of home decoration, luggage, photography, stationery and table linen products.

Among the eye-catching designers in the lifestyle section, there is Elad Yfrach with his interior decoration brand L’Objet, featuring table linen, candles, frames and accessories, Dutch designer Piet Hein Heek with his collections of rugs, wallpaper and watches, Frenchman Quentin Carnaille's abstract sculptures, and the accessories and notebooks by Slow and by publisher Thomas Eyck.
