Triumph enters the United States and Mexico

Published
Feb 4, 2013

Triumph, already present in Canada, is coming to the United States and Mexico. The lingerie giant – which owns Triumph, Hom, Valisère and Sloggi – has decided to enter the American and Mexican markets by taking a majority share in two local businesses with knowledge of the sector. The company has taken control of New York-based Journelle, a high-end lingerie brand that has three stores in Manhattan.

Triumph is largely counting on Journelle to help develop its current business model, but is also thinking about opening Triumph stores in other North-Eastern cities in the United States to push development.

In Mexico, the group has gained a majority share in Mexican lingerie brand Vicky Form.

Currently present in 120 countries, including Argentina, Chili and Brazil, Triumph is continuing in its quest for internationalization. In 2011, Triumph International reported a turnover of 2 billion Swiss francs, or 1.6 billion euros.
