Uniqlo set to launch new collaboration with Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang has teamed up with Japanese apparel chain Uniqlo again. The American designer is putting the finishing touches to a new collaboration with the brand, ten years after the pairing's first creative partnership. Wang took to Instagram to announce the upcoming release of the capsule, which is slated to go on sale on November 9.

This time round, Alexander Wang's creative energies are being directed into Uniqlo's Heattech line, which is specialized in thermal underwear. Although the results of the collaboration are yet to be revealed, the 34-year-old designer told Vogue that the collection will include bodysuits, t-shirts, leggings and bras. Pieces will be available in the soft, neutral shades favored by Wang, as well as in fluorescent green. Prices will be in line with those usually found at the chain, so somewhere between $15 and $35. 

The collection is part of Uniqlo's wider strategy involving one-off collaborations with big-name fashion designers. The company recently released its first resort collection designed by Tomas Maier, following collaborations with JW Anderson and Marimekko, while its ongoing relationship with Inès de la Fressange has now lasted for ten seasons.
