Parisian brand Van Cleef & Arpels has been at the top of the jewelry charts on the site for some time now. Its iconic Alhambra collection has proved to be particularly popular, with nine out of ten of the label’s most wanted pieces being part of the line.

Further down the ranking but gaining ground fast, Los Angeles-based jeweler Anita Ko has cemented her position as one to watch, rising from 12th to sixth place in The RealReal’s rankings in the space of a year and seeing particular success with her Safety Pin Earrings.

Beyond specific brands, vintage jewelry pieces are becoming increasingly popular on the platform, selling 25% faster year-over-year, while unbranded engagement rings have leapt from 43rd most wanted on the site to seventh, a trend which The RealReal attributes to the likes of Zoe Kravitz and Gwenyth Paltrow with their vintage engagement rings. In a similar vein, old European cut vintage diamond jewelry has seen a 54% increase in sales.

The style is also now among the top six most popular stone shapes on the site, where it joins oval cut stones, which were catapulted from 23rd to third most obsessed shape over the last year. Top of the pile, however, are emerald cut diamonds which dethroned cushion cut stones to take the top spot this year.

Looking to timepieces, Swiss watch manufacturer Audemars Piguet has experienced a stratospheric rise in popularity on The RealReal this year, shooting up from 17th place in the rankings to become the most wanted watch brand on the platform. The brand’s Royal Oak model is decidedly its most popular style, as the top five products in the label’s offering are all from this range.

Elsewhere, it would appear that the streetwear trend is also being reflected in the watch category, with sports models now proving to be more popular than ever. The Rolex GMT “Pepsi” and  the Patek Philippe Aquanaut, for example, often sell out a matter of days after going live on The RealReal.
