Veronica Beard to open 13th store in Boston

New York-based fashion brand Veronica Beard has announced that it will open its next store in Boston – its first location in the city – in mid-January 2021.

 
Located at 145 Newbury Street, the 1,000-square-foot store will offer visitors the full Veronica Beard ready-to-wear, denim and footwear collections, along with a curated selection of third-party products.
 
Seeking to channel a bohemian aesthetic, the boutique will feature vintage artwork, rattan furniture, and fabrics in shades of blue and camel, including China Seas Antik Batik floral fabric and Lisa Fine patchwork, used on chairs and draperies.

“As with every other Veronica Beard store, Boston has its own unique interior design scheme. We went for a more earthy palette and imagined a heritage bohemian vibe for the store, inspired by Boston’s history and its nautical influence,” explained co-founder and designer Veronica Swanson Beard in a release. “We used cool mid-century rattan pieces and batik print fabrics that feel vintage and modern at the same time. The art is an eclectic mix of pieces by our friends Marco Walker and Laurie MacMillan.”
 
The new location will be Veronica Beard’s thirteenth U.S. store since it made its retail debut in 2016. To date, the lifestyle brand has two locations in both Manhattan and Los Angeles, with its remaining stores being spread over Manhasset, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, Bal Harbour, Nantucket, Greenwich, and Washington D.C.
 
Founded as a line of dickey jackets in 2010 by co-designers and sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, the Veronica Beard label has since become a fully-fledged lifestyle brand.
