Véronique Courtois, the 49-year-old brand general manager of Parfums Christian Dior and member of the label's executive committee, is taking over as CEO of Guerlain from 1 November.

Véronique Courtois is set to take over as CEO of Guerlain - LVMH

The executive spent eight years at Shiseido before joining Guerlain a first time, serving in a range of roles of increasing responsibility over the space of ten years and ultimately becoming the brand's head of marketing. In 2010 Courtois took up the same role at Dior Couture, before being appointed as the brand general manager at Parfums Christian Dior seven years ago, in 2012. Her successor in this role will be revealed at a later date.

Guerlain's current CEO Laurent Boillot will take the helm of cognac brand Hennessey in early 2020 as part of an internal reorganisation process being undertaken by French luxury conglomerate LVMH, AFP discovered on Wednesday.

55-year-old Boillot will join Hennessy in November and will initially work alongside the brand's current president, Bernard Peillon, whom he will replace at the start of 2020, also becoming a member of the executive and operating committees of Moët Hennessy, the structure bringing together LVMH's champagne, spirit and wine brands.

63-year-old Peillon has spent 29 years at LVMH, 13 of which have been spent leading the Hennessy cognac house. He will retire on 31 July 2020.

LVMH's fragrance and cosmetics division, which accounted for 6.09 billion euros of the group's total sales in 2018, currently contains 13 brands, from established houses such as Christian Dior, Givenchy and Guerlain, to younger labels like Benefit Cosmetics, Fresh, Make Up For Ever and Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

The company has 26 wine and spirit brands to its name, including Hennessy, Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart and Glenmorangie, among others. Collectively these labels contributed 5.1 billion euros of LVMH's revenue last year.
