Yoox Net-a-Porter merger to be followed by a restructuring?

Published
Oct 20, 2015

"This merger is above all a story of growth and not industrial rationalisation. There will be no layoffs," declared President of the Yoox Net-a-Porter (YNAP) group Federico Marchetti, at the beginning of October at the stock market launch of the new entity, adding that rather the problem would be "finding talented individuals".

Even though no redundancies are currently on the table, it nevertheless seems that the group specialised in online sales of fashion and luxury items has planned to reorganise its structure, says the American press.

According to Women's Wear Daily, this restructuring will affect the design studio with changes in cadence and schedules so as to increase production on the group level. Moreover, some management positions will be downgraded. A measure that could concern 400 employees in the UK and the United States.
