Yves Saint Laurent Beauty names Tom Pecheux creative director

Yves Saint Laurent Beauty tapped a big make-up name. The cosmetics brand, which has been part of the L'Oréal group since 2008, has named Tom Pecheux as its international beauty director.

The exact job title is "global beauty director", according to the brand on Instagram. Tom Pecheux will be in charge "of our ambassadors' looks and innovative product development," said Yves Saint Laurent Beauty. Pecheux was the make-up consultant for the first runway show by Anthony Vaccarello under the artistic direction of maison Yves Saint Laurent last September.

A graduate of the Christian Chauveu school, Tom Pecheux has serves as artistic director at Japanese cosmetics firm, Shisheido, before performing the same role at Estée Lauder.

During fashion weeks, he has worked in the wings of runway shows to give beauty direction to several fashion houses including Elie Saab, Max Mara and Ralph Lauren.
