Colour Forecast - Fall/Winter 2021-22 (Trendzoom)

Published
Oct 12, 2020

The COLOUR report signals the start of a new season. More than colour analysis, it also reveals the three big CONCEPT themes – and the ideas behind them. Explore the full colour palette, colour selections by trend and colour concepts, which is a new segment showing practical colour usage.

The COLOUR report introduces the three new trends of the season: PAUSE asks the question “what do we need to add to this world?”, SHIFT looks to science and technology to create answers for the future and CONTRACT explores the move away from an era of choice into one of constraint.

The report reveals CORE colours - the hard-working essential shades, and KEY6 colours - the standout hues which will define the autumn/winter 2021-22 season. The following three colours are taken from our KEY6 selection.

OCEANIC
The first of our KEY6 colours is OCEANIC. A deep aquatic colour that connects to a powerful water element. This intense shade will span all types of fabrics and materials, with wide-reaching appeal across all sectors. Green is part of a new exo-awareness and this green/blue represents the growing movement.

ID RED
A beautiful emotional and expressive red with deep symbolic and spiritual vibes. This sophisticated shade has a timeless value that works as an independent colour across all product groups, and has even more dramatic impact when paired with other KEY6 colours: OCEANIC, EARTHY brown, X-RAY grey or ID BLUE.

Yellow MELT
A transseasonal colour which will have a growing impact through 2022. Yellow MELT adds vibrance to core neutrals and makes a perfect partner to either EARTHY brown or X-RAY grey. As a sunny warm shade it naturally counters uncertainty and apprehension, providing a welcome sense of indulgence and optimism.

The TRENDZOOM Colour Forecast is a comprehensive 25-page report published: August, 2020.
