Knitwear Trends - Fall/Winter 2021-22 (Fashion for Breakfast)

Published
Apr 14, 2021

Let’s dive into the vast world of knitwear, which gains great importance and is enriched through a thousand facets in the upcoming winter season.
Discover a small extract of the knitwear trends for the 21-22 A/W season, directly from the Fashion for Breakfast trend search portal.

The world of details and patterns opens the doors of the imagination with “Printed”, which brings the season’s knitwear an infinite variety of all-over prints: from coloured tie-dye inspired by the hippie fashion to the timeless animal print, to floral patterns symbolising femininity.

A Nordic touch joins this broad range of patterns: “Nordic Jacquard”, made with geometries of Nordic design that are instantly recognisable thanks to their mountain mood and artisan style.

In terms of lines, the artisan trend continues with the “Poncho”, a garment with a long history that is back for the A/W 21-22 season, renewed with ethnic style stripes, geometric jacquards or colourful mix and matches.

We will cosy up with taste and femininity in Co-ord sets”, a great trend of the season that is a staple in the wardrobe of every fashionista. Cardigans and tops, cropped or oversize depending on the occasion, become an inseparable ‘one’ thanks to the continuity of fabrics and patterns that create striking yet always sophisticated sets.

The season’s dresses are based on the perfect mix of femininity and comfort: these two concepts are embodied by the “Comfy dress”, a dress with a comfy model that promises to keep us warm for the entire cold season. It can go all the way down to the ankles, the volumes are loose and relaxed, for a flowing figure that expresses minimalism and is perfect for showcasing applications and fine fabrics.
